My Review:
Pippa Roscoe has written an awesome royal story which made me read it in one sitting!
Set in a stunning Svardia in the center of Scandinavia, I was mesmerized by the leading opening of Svardia palace until finally the siblings, Freya and Aleksander are in argument regarding her resignation from the royal duties despite her love of it. Yet in spite of the heart-wrenching reason from Freya, Aleksander, the King, insists her deliver a valued medal for a highly respected and valued member, a high-ranking senior officer, Kjell Borgqvist.
Determined to preserve the royal family from the media, the stubborn Freya flies to Sweden where the raging storm brews around Kjell’s cabin until they end up being stranded there. Ah, I couldn’t stop imagining the mouth-watering, made-me-swoon Kjell as he keeps arguing with Freya whilst taking off his wet clothes. Blue eyes, gold hair, and divine physique, he is absolutely a perfect soldier figure. What caught me throughout the story was how stunning the interior of the cabin and how mesmerizing the views around the cabin are, and how freezing it must be during the storm.
Pippa Roscoe has brought remarkably different royal story where no billionaire or high-title-ranking hero here. She refreshingly set up an exquisite forbidden love story which captivated me from the very first page. Both Freya and Kjell suffer from their misunderstanding in the past as well as the status quo, sacrificing their feelings for what is best for each other.
